Greetings! I am Dorothy, the editor, artist and designer of the products displayed on this web site.
The recipes in my cook book "Caribbean Everyday and Holiday Gourmet Delights" are tried and tested Caribbean favorite
dishes that pass down from generation to generation. At Tools To Live By.com, we are delighted to present this treasure
as a way of preserving our culinary heritage. We know other Caribbean cook books are available; but, our attempt is to
create a book that displays well in a modern kitchen, as well as being a useful kitchen tool. The inside cover of
"Caribbean Everyday and Holiday Gourmet Delights" depicts fruits, vegetables, produce and spices that have
cross culture appeal. The recipes are easy to follow and the glossary explains local term and local food names. The
book can be folded or placed on an easel for ease of use. Complete Caribbean brunch or dinner party menus can be put
together from the recipes featured in "Caribbean Everyday and Holiday Gourmet Delights".

Cutwork Art —
My artwork is depicted in velvet on canvass using cutwork techniques. This technique facilitates 2-D effect and
creates striking contrast and contours. I learned the techniques of cutwork

embroidery several years ago, on a whim, and decided to combine my artistic talent
with this art form. As I continue to expand my portfolio, I am still excited at the result of the pieces that I
design. These art pieces display well and make great accent pieces that enhance the ambiance of the surroundings
within which they are displayed.
Posters — A number of the art pieces are transformed to posters with
added inspirational verses that tie in with the theme of the artwork. The verses captioned on the posters are drawn from
everyday life experience shared by most human beings. Posters are approximately 23x18 inches (58.5x44.5 cm).
